Kids Tusk Force UK - Bead Colour & Design Guide

They are much more beautiful than anything carved from the stolen tusks of thousands of elephants which once roamed the African plains.

Bead Colour Guide

Here is the list of acrylic paint shades.......60 ml tubes

  • Titanium White
  • Mars Black
  • Cadmium Yellow
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Raw Umber
  • Cadmium Red Hue
  • Phthalo Green
  • Phthalo Blue

A 60 ml tube goes a long way if used carefully .... however it is wise to buy a 250 ml pot of Titanium White as you will give each bead a base coat of white before adding further colour.

Bead Design Guide

Careful application of paint and lots of concentration will give results you'll really be proud of. We have received so many comments already on how lovely these precious seven beads are.... and what they represent.

If your class children are young and want to feel they are ''being part of an elephant's future'' simplify the design with lots of dots and swirls....or leave them in plain colours.....once they are strung with jute and the name of a little elephant (and where it lives) is added they will become priceless to you and the person who buys them.

Acrylic paints can be bought in sets from online art suppliers often very reasonably. It is worth using new paints as the texture and colour quality is at its best. Always remember to wait for one colour to dry before applying another though!

From the bottom of our hearts thank you. Thank you for becoming part of this amazing crusade....an army of children and young people whose aim is to see the elephant safely roaming the plains and bush of Africa when they grow up and have children of their own.
